The Anglo Indian Chest is part of Julian Chichester’s 35 Years capsule collection. Originally from the ‘Nineties’ it has been reimagined to mark our 35th anniversary.
This chest with its feminine pretty lines gave us the ability to show off our three best skills – gilding, ebonising and fine woodwork. Our collection was just eight pieces when this piece was launched! The new 2024 version in oiled African Walnut brings it beautifully up to date.
African walnut, sometimes referred to as Amazaque, is a beautiful, close grained, stable hard wood which has a finish somewhere between black walnut and Rosewood. Our African Walnut is sealed and finished by hand using natural Tung Oil, therefore variations in depth of colour is inevitable.
